In my mind, a gigapreneur is a super passionate entrepreneur with a superlative impact in multiple orders of magnitude. Elon Musk is one such example. If you look at the legacy he is creating and the groundbreaking innovations he is working on is just awe-inspiring. He is working to revolutionize transportation both on Earth, through electric car maker Tesla, and in space, via rocket producer SpaceX. He is the Founder of The Boring Company and a Co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI. Previously, he co-founded and sold PayPal, the world's leading Internet payment system, and Zip2, one of the first internet maps and directions services.
What makes him a gigaprenuer is the lasting impact he is leaving, not just on his businesses but to the world overall. His biggest strength is perhaps the passion with which he operates and the belief in his ability to bring the change. As the Time magazine puts it “To Musk, his vast fortune is a mere side effect of his ability not just to see but to do things others cannot, in arenas where the stakes are existential.”
